From the time WJR first receives a claim, every step is taken to ensure that the replacement process goes smoothly for the insured, the adjuster and the jeweler providing the replacement jewelry. In order to achieve this result, WJR has implemented the following procedures.
Inception of Claim Process Claims can be submitted to WJR either online or by faxing the claim to WJR at 305-593-8881
Upon receipt of a claim, a customer representative from WJR will immediately contact the adjuster to acknowledge receipt of the claim.
If the item to be replaced is sufficiently described on the invoice or appraisal, the claim will immediately be bid out to our premier panel of replacement jewelers and will usually have a replacement price within 24 hours.
If the item is not sufficiently described, we will contact the adjuster, the insured (with the permission of the adjuster) and/or the jeweler from whom the item was originally purchased to get any photographs of the item and to get a better description so that we can accurately provide the replacement cost.
Monitoring of the Replacement Process
If the insured wishes to replace the item, WJR will stay in close contact with the jeweler and the insured to guarantee that the insured is happy with the replacement. All of the jewelers on WJR's panel have the capability to custom manufacture an item for the insured if none of the jewelers have the item in stock. If the item is to be custom manufactured, WJR has implemented procedures to insure that the insured is happy with the end product.
The jewelers on the panel have all agreed to provide the insured with pictures of the item or its component parts at each stage in the manufacturing process (pictures, molds, castings, settings, and precious and semi- precious stones), and to get the insured's approval at each stage of this process. This helps to insure complete satisfaction with the custom manufactured replacement product once it is completed.
Completion of Replacement Process Once the replacement jewelry has been given to the insured, the jeweler will have the insured sign a certificate of satisfaction which will be forwarded to the adjuster and the insured along with a free new appraisal for the jewelry.
